Boomers are anyone born between 1945 and 1964, and they currently account for around ninety percent of the United States’ net worth and around seventy-eight percent of its assets. So, what exactly does this have to do with booking a vacation? According to a study, a large percentage of boomers want to take an average of four to five vacations each year. Here are the hottest trends in boomer travel.

1. Spiritual

Many studies suggest that the majority of this category is covered by Christians worldwide, but there’s another type of spiritual travel that appeals to boomers. Boomers venture towards certain temples and specific yoga retreat therapies, such as India and the Australian Outback. Sometimes, it’s not only about the destination you’re traveling to but the spirituality that brings a much deeper meaning to your vacation.

2. Passions

At this age, boomers enjoy combining their bucket list destinations with their passions, such as learning a new language or learning how to cook in new places such as Italy. Boomers are at the age where they still feel young, but they’re aware that the clock is ticking. While some boomers have already been able to check items and passions off of their bucket list, many are beginning to travel for the first time now that they’re retired and living out their dreams.
